Sultan Al-Jaber has professional capacity which fit his post. He was the UAE envoy for several COP lastly. On top of that, he has announced his clear mission and vision to “make a drive for a successful energy transfer, with a proper professional accurate action plan. It is impossible only simply to unlock from today energy system or just simply flip into a switch”.
This appointment has triggered contra at several negative reactions. Some campaigners demanded Sultan Al-Jaber to stand down from his oil business role during his presidency term for just to be clear that he will stand at zero conflict of interest. Another reason, Abu Dhabi is measured at poor environment rehabilitation so far.
Seeing the first fact of long delayed of energy transition so far, precisely since Paris meeting. The second fact of genuine resolution support from business sectors released by World Economic Forum to COP27 Secretariat, mentioning their genuine belief on the set-up targets.
